Over the last four years at Earthworm Housing Co-operative we have developed and integrated plans and begun an extensive renovation of the Edwardian buildings and 7 acres of land. So far, we have installed a W.E.T system for waste water and sewage treatment, a small district heating system powered by a 80kW log boiler and various insulation measures throughout the currently inhabited buildings. In parallel, we have started a land management plan with firewood production as one of the key aims. All this takes place in the context of running a fully mutual housing co-operative.

On the day we offer two tours of the house and parts of the land, at 2.30pm and 4pm. There will be a photo exhibition between 2 and 5pm, and tea and cake will be available by donation. W.E.T system designer Jay Abraham will be on hand to explain details of his water treatment system.
